Primary Eye Care

Primary Eye Care includes a comprehensive vision and eye health examination. This examination is designed to detect a wide range of problems affecting vision function, such as blurred vision or eye discomfort.

Evaluations for eye health disorders are also performed. The American Optometric Association recommends that all people should have a periodic, comprehensive eye examination every one to two years depending on ones particular needs.

Here at our office we incorporate computerized technology to assist the evaluation of spectacle prescriptions, peripheral vision, intraocular pressure, and eye health. Computerized examination instruments are used to supplement rather than replace personalized care.

Examinations include tests for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and the ocular effects of many general health disorders such as diabetes and high blood pressure, as well as effects of medications. A dilated pupil examination allows us to provide the best assessment of eye health.  It is recommended for all new patients and on a scheduled basis thereafter.

  Pediatric Vision Care

Boise Vision Care is a family-oriented care facility. Children of all ages are welcome in our office. Experts agree that a child's eyes should be regularly examined after age three unless an obvious problem requires earlier treatment. Because we gear our eye examination to individual age levels, children find their visit both pleasant and educational.

  Vision Therapy

Vision Therapy is a type of Physical Therapy.  Like other forms of physical therapy, with vision therapy, optimum results require much more than visual acuity or binocular eye muscle control.  Vision therapy integrates visual acuity and binocular function  plus detailed brain function activities that collectively control thousands of components of our entire bodies coordinated actions.  Your visual system is your steering system.  Vision Therapy makes it better.

We provide complete diagnostic and therapeutic care for children and adults with these type of vision problems:

  • Eye tracking
  • Eye teaming (Strabismus or Amblyopia)
  • Eye focusing (Visual Acuity)
  • Learning-related vision problems
  • Visual Information Processing
  • Computer related vision problems
  • Sports vision
  • Acquired brain injury related vision problems
